We recommend Firefox or Chrome, but you can use any modern web browser as long as it's updated and contains a recent version of Flash player. If there are specific issues you encounter with our courses, the first thing we will suggest is that you update your browser to the latest version. This is particularly true for Internet Explorer users as IE9 is more stable than previous versions. Almost all web browsers today are free to download, so you may want to try out a different browser if your current one is not working as well with our courses.
Over time we will be moving more resources towards HTML 5 and away from using Flash based videos/activities. This means that (without getting into the technical stuff) more content will play natively in the web browser and less will require plugins (such as Flash). Eventually this will allow us to automatically detect which device you are using and deliver an appropriate version of the content based upon your device (ie: a lower resolution video playback on phones). Since HTML 5 is relatively new and the standards are still evolving, ensuring you are using the latest version of your browser will become more important.
