We have found that students who focused on time in the course didn't really do as well compared to when time tracking was visible. While we do track time, we don't show the results to students. Each student has to complete all the activities regardless of the time it takes. In 99% of situations, completion takes the minimum amount of time prescribed by our course approvals. If there's ever a problem with a student not spending enough time in a course, he/she will be notified and we will find a solution specific to the situation.
Realize that over a longer course time needed can vary depending on your background. If you have a background as a loan officer then any financing sections will be a breeze while someone whose never applied for a home loan may take longer to understand the material.
Our advice is that you should take as long as you need to understand the content in any specific course section. You may be able to go through the material once or need to review certain topics again.
